How Type Approval to Protect?

I hope you have read my post about an important information about type approval, When you already know that type approval is really important,  and then..What Happens after that ? Type Approval certification is given before products are marketed, all approved products carry approval labels. If there is no label, you should not buy that products. It could be a prohibited model. The danger is that the prohibited product may interfere with i.e the cellular networks, causing interference to other user’s hand phones.

To protect consumer interest, DGPT (Directorate General Pos and Telecommunication) enforcement officer regularity inspect shops selling telecommunications equipment to ensure that there is compliance with the licensing conditions. Equipment vendors importing or selling non certified equipment for use in Indonesia are liable to face prosecution up to 1 year in jail and/or a fine of up to Rp 100.000.000.-.

Is Type Approval Important?

Here is not about the Kampanye Damai SEO contest in the keyword of kampanye damai pemilu indonesia 2009 but here is about type approval telecommunication device in Indonesia. Is the Type approval important ? the answer is yes..absolutely. You know…there are thousands of products made by hundreds of manufacturers around the world. They include everything from standard Phones to Hand phones, pagers to computer modems, faxes to Swicthboards.  It grow every day.

Many of telecommunication products are not made for Indonesia and thus are not suitable for use here. And most important thing that may cause interference in radio communications equipment or the telecommunications network, affecting the quality of transmission and reception. That the why certification is so important to ensure that every telecommunication equipment equipment will work properly without causing interference when it’s connected to Indonesia’s network.

Type Approval Process in Telkom Risti Bandung

An update information from our business in type approval services. There are two Laboratories regarding to get type approval certification of telecommunication equipments in in Indonesia. The number one is The Examination Office of Telecommunications Equipment of the Directorate General of Post and Telecommunications called Balai Uji, and the second one is Test House Div. RISTI PT. Telkom called Telkom RisTi.

You have to read my previous posted in the title the indonesia testing house in previous year to make clear in this matter. and also i already informed about the postel flow chart and procedures of type approval process but i have no inform the test house of Div.RISTI PT.Telkom yet. // more
